Rivo is Volumio's pure digital music transport, engineered to deliver a clean, low-noise digital signal to the DAC you already love. Designed for high-resolution streaming, it combines galvanic isolation, dedicated power filtering, precision clocking, and Volumio Premium in a focused digital-only architecture.

Maximum Compatibility for Your Streaming Needs

Rivo is built for systems that already include a standalone DAC, DAC-equipped integrated amplifier, or preamplifier. It streams high-resolution music directly to your digital converter with a signal path designed to preserve timing, detail, and musical integrity.

Classic and Black Edition

Rivo is available in the original Classic finish and the Black Edition. The Black Edition adds a distinctive black upcycled-leather front panel while retaining the same digital transport architecture and performance.

Powered to Make a Difference

Rivo uses separated power-supply stages for key internal sections, including a dedicated supply for the internal clock with its own stabilization. An input filtering network based on inductors and electrolytic capacitors helps reduce electrical noise and supports stable operation throughout the digital signal path.

Multiple Digital Outputs

S/PDIF coaxial and AES/EBU outputs use galvanic isolation and power filtering, while the USB digital output incorporates dedicated power filtering and clocking. This gives Rivo broad compatibility with standalone DACs and digital-input amplifiers.

Engineering Made Simple

Rivo's architecture is intentionally streamlined around a clean digital signal path. Multiple 1:1 OFC copper transformers provide galvanic isolation for the S/PDIF and AES/EBU outputs, helping prevent upstream electrical noise from reaching the connected DAC.

Roon Ready

Rivo is Roon Ready certified, allowing seamless integration into a Roon-based music system.

Volumio Premium Built In

Rivo includes Volumio Premium features for streaming services, local and network-attached libraries, internet radio, supported plugins, and multi-room playback. Volumio AI with Supersearch helps bring music discovery and playback into a single interface.
