NT-507T
A High-Quality Network Solution for Your DAC to Maximize Music Streaming Enjoyment
With TEAC's unwavering commitment to exceptional sound quality and intuitive operability, the NT-507T takes music streaming enjoyment to a new level. As a network streaming transport in the Reference 500 Series designed exclusively for USB digital output, it pairs seamlessly with your existing DAC, such as the UD-507, featuring TEAC’s proprietary discrete “TRDD 5” DAC to deliver reference-grade sound from online streaming and locally stored NAS audio sources.
Driven by the advanced TEAC Network Engine G4, the NT-507T is engineered from the ground up with sound quality as its highest priority. A large linear power supply replaces noise-inducing switching circuits, ensuring dynamic, natural, and fluid sound reminiscent of vinyl playback. Network connectivity is equally versatile, offering Ethernet RJ45, SFP optical input, and Wi-Fi 6 support. Its high-fidelity USB output, equipped with an independent power supply section, guarantees pristine signal transmission to your DAC.
User experience has been carefully refined for today’s streaming lifestyle. The NT-507T integrates smoothly with OpenHome-compatible apps such as TEAC HR Streamer, and its USB Volume Function lets you control the volume of connected USB DACs or preamps directly from the app. It supports leading high-resolution streaming services including Qobuz, Spotify, TIDAL, and TuneIn, and features a dedicated Roon Ready mode for the most demanding audiophiles. Two USB ports also allow direct connection of flash drives, HDDs, or SSDs, enabling the NT-507T to serve as a simple music server (NAS).

Powerful and Incredibly Clean. The Next-Generation “TEAC Network Engine G4”
The NT-507T features the TEAC Network Engine G4, a fourth-generation network streaming engine that encapsulates TEAC's high-fidelity audio technology. The NT-507T provides noiseless optical network connectivity and features a powerful CPU and ample RAM to comfortably handle high-resolution formats like DSD 22.5 MHz. Driven by TEAC's powerful proprietary linear power supply, the G4 engine delivers reference-grade sound that defines the next generation of network playback.
Three Types of Network Connections
The G4 engine integrates an intelligent network switch and supports two types of wired LAN connections (Ethernet RJ45 and SFP ports), as well as Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity. Connecting via SFP optical modules and fiber optic cable ensures complete isolation from network noise, guaranteeing the cleanest signal path. The SFP port can also be used with Direct Attach Cable (DAC) for metallic connections if preferred. Wi-Fi 6 provides stable, high-speed wireless operation and can be manually disabled when you use wired connections*.
*Wired LAN (RJ45/SFP) and Wi-Fi connections are switchable, so they cannot be used simultaneously.
A Linear Power Supply Delivers Dynamic and Naturally Expressive Sound
The TEAC Network Engine G4's high-fidelity playback is supported by its high-quality, powerful linear supply system. This system comprises a toroidal power transformer selected for sound quality, large custom capacitors, and multiple discrete DC regulator circuits. This design eliminates noise-induced sound thinning. It produces a musical presentation reminiscent of analog playback — rich, dynamic, smooth, and naturally expressive.
Four Independent Power Supplies/Low-Feedback DC Regulators
The toroidal power transformer has four separate windings: one for the network engine, one for the USB output circuit, one for Wi-Fi circuit, and one for the display LEDs. Isolating the power circuits eliminates mutual interference, improving sound quality. Each power section uses a discrete "low-feedback DC regulator" configuration. Reducing feedback results in a fresh, open, and dynamic sound.
Audiophile-Grade USB Output Terminal
Supporting DSD 22.5 MHz and PCM 768 kHz/32-bit
The NT-507T features an audiophile-grade USB (Type A) output terminal supporting DSD 22.5 MHz and PCM 768 kHz / 32-bit digital formats. Powered by a dedicated supply circuit connected to an independent transformer winding, it outputs a pure and stable digital signal.
The NT-507T also has a "USB Volume Control" function that allows users to adjust the volume of the connected USB DAC/preamp via the app. The volume is controlled at the receiver, maintaining the full-scale output of the NT-507T. This feature strikes a balance between quality and ease of use without compromising the bit resolution of the digital source.
Music Server Functionality
The NT-507T extends network audio enjoyment beyond online streaming services to high-resolution file playback from NAS devices and USB storage. Two USB ports — Type A and Type C — allow direct connection of flash drives, HDDs, or SSDs, enabling the NT-507T to operate as a simple NAS-style music server.
Compatible with Various Audio Sources
The NT-507T supports various music formats, including DSF, DSDIFF, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, AAC, and MQA. It can play back up to DSD 22.5 MHz and PCM 768 kHz/32-bit. It also supports the 32-bit float format popular in music production.
The TEAC HR Streamer Enables High-Resolution Playback from Smartphones and Tablets
The NT-507T can be operated using TEAC HR Streamer, TEAC's original network control app based on the OpenHome platform. You can create libraries by loading artwork and music tag data from song data, allowing for quick and intuitive track selection. You can also select and add tracks to playlists as you wish, freely crossing between cloud and local networks. This includes audio files stored on NAS and USB flash drives, as well as FLAC and MQA sources on Tidal or Qobuz. The TEAC HR Streamer app is available for iOS and Android devices.
OpenHome and Roon Ready
The NT-507T can be operated with either the TEAC HR Streamer app or standard OpenHome control apps. It supports on-device playlists for managing playlists on the NT-507T, as well as gapless playback. The NT-507T is also Roon Ready, enables effortless integration with Roon’s multi-room synchronization, metadata management, and playback interface. A special “Roon Only” mode is also provided, disabling all non-essential processes for pure, optimized performance.
Compatible with a Wide Selection of Audio Codecs and Streaming Services
TEAC has partnered with a wide array of streaming services and audio codec providers to offer music lovers and audiophiles the ultimate musical experience.
*Please note that some services may be subject to regional restrictions.
Form Follows Function
The NT-507T's substantial yet sleek mechanical exterior embodies the industrial design philosophy of "form follows function." Its compact, letter-sized chassis incorporates extensive aluminum construction that blends rigidity with refined elegance. Despite its modest footprint, the unit’s reassuring weight conveys the meticulous attention devoted to its internal circuitry and sound performance.
Designed for operation via tablet or smartphone, the minimalist NT-507T deliberately omits a liquid-crystal display that could compromise sound purity. Even the LED indicators can be manually turned off, underscoring TEAC’s pursuit of a pure, distraction-free listening experience.
Mechanical Design That Prioritizes Sound Quality
The heat dissipation grille on the top panel of the NT-507T, reminiscent of an amplifier, symbolizes the powerful performance of its G4 engine and linear power supply. The substantial, 2.8-mm-thick aluminum top panel exudes a premium feel and employs a semi-floating design. Rather than being secured by screws, it fits into slits in the left and right aluminum panels under its own weight. Minimizing screw points that secure the internal PCB reduces mechanical stress and helps realize an open, spacious sonic character. TEAC’s original Stress-Less Foot, a precisely machined metal foot with slight mechanical play at its mounting point, further enhances resonance control, resulting in a rich, natural tonal balance that defines the NT-507T’s final sound signature.
