Esprit's Founder, Richard Cesari, has been designing loudspeakers for himself and for other brands for many years. It was only natural that one day, this expertise would be fully dedicated to Esprit.
After more than thirty years dedicated to cable technology, and in the quest for the most faithful transmission possible, the development of loudspeakers seemed like a natural next step: to apply the same high standards not only to the signal itself, but also to its reproduction.
Naturally led to a demanding approach: designing loudspeakers capable of respecting the original recording, without artifice or coloration, while offering a long-lasting, fluid and deeply musical listening.
The goal is not only to reproduce the sound, but to reproduce the intention, balance and emotion as they were captured in the studio or on stage.
This philosophy translates into a reproduction designed for the human ear: a natural, lively and perfectly mastered listening, capable of accompanying hours of listening without fatigue.
The bass is firm, deep and articulate, while the mid-high register favours the accuracy of the timbres, softness and dynamics, in order to preserve the musical coherence and harmonic richness of each recording.
Lisa is a high-precision loudspeaker, designed to meet the most demanding expectations in terms of fidelity, sound neutrality, softness and dynamics.
Each component has been rigorously selected, without compromise, in order to offer a faithful reproduction of the original recording, without coloration or artifice.
Lisa offers a realistic and immersive three-dimensional soundstage, allowing for precise instrument localization and natural image depth. It is distinguished by exceptional tonal coherence, regardless of the musical style, ensuring a constant balance between registers.
Its smooth and natural reproduction fully respects the intention of musicians and sound engineers, for a lively, nuanced and faithful listening experience.
The ALNICO 20 cm woofers feature a NEXTEL-treated paper cone (the entire moving assembly weighs 13 grams) and an ALNICO 1.2 Tesla motor to deliver a constant magnetic flux and a warm, natural tone with smooth mids and detailed highs. Their lightness, rigidity, and magnetic stability ensure a dynamic and precise response.
6 dB/octave filtering ensures smooth transitions between speakers, improved sound consistency, and reduced distortion. Combined with a bass-reflex enclosure, it helps achieve optimal low-frequency extension while reducing distortion.
Its speaker system features an AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter for high frequencies and two 20-cm ALNICO bass-reflex woofers, driven by a 6 dB octave crossover.
The AMT tweeter is based on an innovative concept invented by physicist Dr. Oskar Heil in the 1970s. This technology uses a pleated diaphragm to compress air laterally, resulting in more efficient, smooth, and dynamic sound reproduction compared to traditional dome tweeters.
Our speakers feature wide-bandwidth drivers, developed in collaboration with leading manufacturers, to ensure a broad, consistent, and natural sound across the entire spectrum.
The passive filter is thoroughly optimized through simulations, measurements and numerous listening sessions. It uses premium-quality audiophile components: pure copper capacitors, air chokes, and low-tolerance resistors, chosen to preserve signal integrity and ensure perfect consistency between transducers.
The enclosure, designed to be as inert as possible, features a 45-mm-thick MDF/bitumen sandwich construction. Internal reinforcements and the absence of parallel walls effectively limit resonance and standing waves, contributing to precise and controlled sound reproduction.
In 98% of configurations, Lisa is designed to work as a full bass reflex, ensuring extension and breadth in the bass register.
However, we have found that in some rooms, it can be beneficial to operate the bass section under closed load, in order to limit rear excitation and achieve a more contained and controlled bass.
The 20 cm driver with Alnico motor has been specifically developed to allow this dual configuration, closed or bass-reflex, without compromising on musicality.
The recent addition of a bass-reflex adjustment panel allows for even finer adaptation to different types of rooms, giving Lisa a versatility that is rare in its class.
