Tetra 10 - In-Wall Supremacy

Tetra 10 is a high-output, force-balanced subwoofer engineered for premium in-wall and on-wall installations. Four custom long-travel 10-inch shallow woofers share one sealed enclosure, delivering reference level output from a form factor built to fit inside a standard 2×6 framed wall — serious bass without requiring large freestanding cabinets or sacrificing floor space.

Application

Home cinema, screening rooms, media rooms, and custom installations where large freestanding subwoofer cabinets are impractical or unwelcome. Tetra 10 is built for distributed bass arrays — placed where bass energy is most effective in the room rather than confined to the few spots that can fit a floor cabinet. One unit performs well on its own; distributing two or more through the room further smooths out modal peaks and nulls and improves seat-to-seat consistency. The Tetra 10 pairs naturally with Trinnov WaveForming, Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, Single Bass Array, and Double Bass Array approaches. For premier installations, the Tetra 10 pairs perfectly with the Invicta series, with the Invicta subwoofers covering the lowest octaves below the first room mode, while distributed Tetra 10s deliver midbass punch and in-room consistency in the mid-bass (roughly four Tetra 10s per Invicta 40, or eight per Invicta 60 MK2).

Engineered as a complete system

Tetra 10 is designed around the two-channel AMP2.2500, one channel per sub. TrueTemp thermal monitoring provides real-time closed-loop thermal feedback to the amplifier as part of the robust limiter system. All limiters use a side-chain monitoring system to avoid clipping and overshoot, and include monitoring for excursion, voltage, voice coil temperature, and rate of thermal change.

Details

  • Four custom long-travel 10-inch shallow woofers, developed entirely in-house, sharing one sealed volume. The large top and bottom openings are not ports — two internally mounted drivers fire into the sealed cabinet and their rear-wave output exits through these apertures, coupling constructively with the two front-facing drivers.

  • Inverted push-pull, force-balanced driver arrangement — opposing driver pairs cancel mechanical reaction forces before they reach the enclosure, while the push-pull geometry reduces even-order harmonic distortion from driver asymmetry.

  • Toray carbon-fiber / Nomex honeycomb diaphragm for a rigid, flat composite structure that minimizes flex at high output.

  • Proprietary inductance management maintains motor linearity and reduces distortion through the driver’s full usable stroke — 16 mm one-way linear excursion, unusually deep for an ultra-shallow enclosure.

  • Three-stage vibration management: force-balanced driver configuration, node-optimized mounting geometry (four structural mounting points located at areas of minimal cabinet motion), and silicone-decoupled structural mounts that float the cabinet from the wall structure at each mounting point.

  • TrueTemp direct voice coil temperature measurement — real, physically measured coil temperature, not an estimate.

  • Sealed alignment, 12 dB/octave acoustic rolloff — works naturally with in-room gain for deep-bass extension.
