Invicta 60 MK2 - The God of Infrasound
The Invicta 60 MK2 is Deus’s flagship infrasonic subwoofer — a 60-inch driver built around the MASS Drive™ motor and an ultra-rigid, no-basket driver/enclosure architecture, delivering the low-frequency authority and control the most demanding theater builds require. MK2 refines that platform further, with improvements to thermal performance, field serviceability, and integration behind the screen.
What’s new in MK2
Machined aluminum dust cap for easier voice coil service and improved heat dissipation.
Full copper cladding and aluminum heat sink on the motor for significantly improved thermal performance under sustained high output.
Simplified enclosure geometry — lower cost, more durable, cleaner lines.
Less prominent branding for cleaner integration behind the screen.
Refined surface finish on all machined components.
Redesigned surround-ring retention hardware for easier, more consistent installation.
Application
Ultra-high-end cinema, production studios, statement 2 channel hifi systems, premier dance clubs, screening rooms, ride and attraction special effects, and high-accuracy live sound.
Recommended configuration
One or more per space depending on SPL targets — behind the screen, on stage, or wherever the room design calls for it.
Engineered as a complete system
Like every Deus subwoofer, the Invicta 60 MK2 is not a passive enclosure with an amplifier sold separately — it’s designed end to end with its companion amplifier. The Invicta 60 MK2 is built around the rack-mounted AMP2.6000, a two-channel DSP amplifier that drives one channel per voice coil. TrueTemp thermal monitoring provides real-time closed-loop thermal feedback to the amplifier as part of the robust limiter system. All limiters use a side-chain monitoring system to avoid clipping and overshoot, and include monitoring for excursion, voltage, voice coil temperature, and rate of thermal change — letting the system run closer to its true limits under changing conditions instead of relying on conservative, estimate-based protection. See the AMP2.6000 page for full details.
Details
MASS Drive™ ultra-linear motor — BL, KMS, and inductance stay flat and controlled through the full 66 mm stroke, minimizing distortion from subtle detail through the largest cinematic transients.
Hand laid-up, one-piece carbon fiber cone over a Nomex honeycomb core.
No-basket, ultra-rigid woofer/enclosure architecture — the motor is rigidly coupled to the rear of the enclosure and the cone assembly to the front, meeting through a robust CNC-machined coupler. There is no separate driver basket, eliminating a major source of structural flex and mechanical coloration.
Field-recone compatible — two technicians can fully service the voice coil with basic hand tools in less than 30 minutes, without heavy lifting, or replacing big components.
TrueTemp direct voice coil temperature measurement — real, physically measured coil temperature, not an estimate.
Sealed alignment, 12 dB/octave acoustic rolloff — works naturally with in-room gain for deep-bass extension.
